How to Write a FLUX AI Image Generation Prompt Like You Have a Clue.

How to Write a FLUX AI Image Generation Prompt Like You Have a Clue.

Crafting a FLUX AI image prompt isn’t rocket science—unless you’re literally asking for a rocket scientist. To get the best results, follow this structured approach, because nothing says "artistic genius" like an organized checklist. I crack me up!Without further adieu....1. Subject & Primary FocusStart with the star of the show. This could be a "radiantly beautiful woman who looks like a goddess," a "towering archangel who clearly hits the celestial gym," or a "cyberpunk cityscape where neon signs." Be specific. Vague requests make AI sad.2. Clothing & AccessoriesIf your subject is human then unless you’re going for avant-garde nudity, put some clothes on your subject. Describe fabrics, colors, textures—think "flowing silk robe that suggests wealth and excellent dry cleaning" or "leather jacket so cool it intimidates lesser jackets." Don’t forget accessories. Crowns, swords, cybernetic implants—if it enhances the vibe, include it.3. Environment & SettingWhere is the scene happening? A "haunted fog-drenched gothic mansion"? A "gritty futuristic metropolis"? Nail down the details: architecture like "futuristic architecture", background elements maybe there's a "nuclear explosion mushroom cloud in the distance", anything that makes the scene feel real (or unreal, if that’s the goal).4. Lighting & MoodLighting sets the scene. Do you want "soft golden-hour glow" or "dramatic backlight that screams ‘I have secrets’"? Define the mood—peaceful, eerie, thrilling—because "generic" is not a mood, no matter what your indecisive brain tells you.5. Additional Elements & Special EffectsThis is where the magic happens—sometimes literally. Need "glowing runes that pulsate with ancient wisdom"? A "subtle snowfall that looks poetic"? Describe any floating objects, supernatural auras, or sci-fi enhancements to make the image pop.6. Camera Details & QualityPretend you’re directing a high-budget movie. Specify details like "shot on a Canon EOS R5 with a 50mm lens for maximum cinematic drama." Want "soft bokeh"? Say it. Prefer "fisheye lens for a mildly disorienting but artsy effect"? Go for it. The AI has the range.7. Text & Additional Elements (If Needed)If your masterpiece includes text, explain how it should appear: "glowing letters in an eldritch script that probably spells doom" or "graffiti that looks like it was written by a child." This also applies to tattoos, inscriptions, or mysterious symbols that make the viewer ask, "What does it mean?!"Now here's a special note that you will appreciate. Use the word "write", not text, or quote, etc to flag where your text starts. Instead of 'handwritten sign that says "Go Team", make it 'wide scrawled text write "Taco good"'.Final ThoughtsYes, this requires a wee bit more effort than telling it to make a picture of Santa riding a bike, but it's worth it. Please give back to the community when you can. Cheers
