Waku's art style (SFW) embodies a classic anime illustration feel with a youthful energy. He started by creating fan art for games he enjoyed and gradually evolved into a commercial illustrator.

While I personally prefer many of his earlier fan works for Housamo—which were full of deep understanding and affection for the characters—it must be said that his current works (SFW) have reached a relatively mature commercial standard, showcasing a unique aesthetic in character portrayal and design. I sometimes feel he is the other side of Fai-san, as their artistic styles share similarities that, at times, go beyond line work, composition, and color.
