Stana Katic is a Canadian film and television actress working in the United States. She is best known for her role as Kate Beckett on the hit ABC series Castle. She is also multilingual, fluent in Italian, French, Croatian, Bosnian, and Serbian, in addition to English.
Stana Katic was born on April 26, 1978, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, to parents from the Dalmatian coast of Croatia. Stana Katic later moved with her family to Aurora, Illinois, USA.
