Initiation: The movement starts by pushing the hips to one side (e.g.right).causing a subtle curve in the waistline. At the same time the dancer shifts their weight slightly to the same side leg to support the motion.
Circular Motion: The hips then begin a smooth continuous circular rotation — forward around to the opposite side (left) and back. The pelvis tilts slightly forward as the hips pass the front arc of the circle then tilts back as they reach the rear arc. The motion is isolated to the hips with minimal movement in the upper body.
