During the final battle of the 3 sect competition she was defeated by Ye Chen, but the sect master of Zhen Yang Sect poisoned Ye Chen resulting in demolition of his cultivation. When Ye Chen was supposedly “killed” by others when he became a devil, she was sad about it. When Ye Chen returned and defeated Yuan Zhi, he was then attacked by the other sects for being a devil and she saved him once, but then was forcefully brought away by an elder of Zhen Yang Sect. Later on, Ye Chen saved her from being killed by the strange creatures within Zhen Yang Sect and he brought her away. They then reconciled and got back together.
