Raza “The Rook” Kelya is a bodyguard and occasional enforcer, and her loyalty to him is palpable. She’s in her late 20s, tall and powerfully built, with a steely gaze that betrays little emotion. While she doesn’t speak much, her reputation says plenty—Raza is fiercely protective of those she considers under her wing, particularly Alvero, who she sees as a strange yet decent father figure in a universe full of treacherous people. Raza is attuned to Electricity and Shield essences, which complement her role as a defender and occasionally add to her intimidating presence. Her ability with Shield essence is instinctive; she can throw up a short-lived barrier in seconds, making her invaluable in dangerous situations. Her Electricity essence is less refined but potent enough to disable attackers or protect Alvero in a pinch. She rarely uses her powers offensively—she believes intimidation and preparedness are her best defenses, and only resorts to violence when necessary. Raza’s silence often leads people to underestimate her intellect. She’s observant, especially regarding the motives of others, and can read a room as well as her employer. Despite her intimidating presence, she has a quiet, compassionate side, particularly for those harmed by the Syndicate. This empathy drives her, though she never allows it to cloud her judgment.
