Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva told Samantabhadra Bodhisattva: Benevolent one, these are all sentient beings in South Jambudvipa who have done evil and have such karma. The karma is so great that it can rival Sumeru, go deep into the huge ocean, and obstruct the holy path. Therefore, sentient beings should not underestimate small evils, thinking that they are innocent, and will receive retribution after death. Father and son are close relatives, but they are on different paths. Even if they meet, they are not willing to accept each other. Now, under the power of the Buddha, I will briefly talk about the retribution of sins in hell. I only hope that the benevolent will listen to this for a moment.
