ℹ️ Conclusion
Okay, TA has had enough time to learn reading and writing to give any response! But before I continue, first of all, I want to express my gratitude and thanks, especially to the users EclipseKww, Art-Intelligent, Crimson_Queen, Maehara, Usero-z, Karely_AI, Feronzz, Ai boo, Aiartmanager, Boyka, Jonah Ross, Kennydead, PainkillAH, Mozz⁰, and many other users of this platform for being able to read, for having your own independent opinion, for the responses, for being active and sharing the issue on other platforms, for the help, effort, and support.
And that means there is a small but still a chance that we can save the world from the final collapse! Of course, I may do that by myself, alone, but that would be a little boring, and I’m a little lazy!
Well, back to the subject. As of now, TA has remained silent, leading me to relax on the couch and, like a true couch knight, start making predictions to find out the answers.
Speaking about the 'Leaderboard' on TA, which consists of 5 'Ranks': 'Online LoRA Training Event,' 'Models,' 'Creators,' 'Posts,' and 'Invitations.' So, 5 “Ranks,” 3 'Winners' on each 'Rank.' 5 times 3 is 15. That means TA’s capacity is for 15 people. TA needs no more than 15 users, and TA’s silence is the true proof that my assumptions are correct.
Anyway, I've read the 'Rank rules' for some 'Ranks,' and instead of finding answers, it generates more questions. For instance, besides the useless 'Credits,' what do the winners receive? Or does the statement 'The rank data is updated once each hour' mean that the first three users of the 'Rank' list receive something as a prize every hour?
And TA doesn't even ask if you like its events, contests, or competitions, or if you want to take part in the 'Leaderboard.' So, TA, I just want to let you know that I'm not concerned about the 'Leaderboard' at all; I don't participate in any unfair, unequal, and pointless events, contests, or competitions.
Another inconvenient and strange practice, in my opinion, which is common not only on TA but almost everywhere, is the one where platform “A” redirects its users who have questions about platform “A” to another platform “B" or "C" to find out what is happening on platform "A." The “funny” thing is that, in the case of TA, this is useless because so far not much has been figured out. Ideally, if I'm using Platform "A," I'd like to find all the information I need within that platform "A," rather than jumping from one platform to another.
But the main issue with platforms like TA is that they are designed solely to collect money from users to fulfill the dreams of the owner(s) of such a platform. There is nothing about the opportunity to realize your dreams or mine because, despite generating numerous images of cars here, I still don't have any of those cars.
By creating the right illusion, these platforms can captivate people temporarily. 'Limited Offers' or 'Scarcity' is one of the oldest but still very efficient marketing techniques to engage individuals with a product, service, or content.
TA and all similar platforms employ cheap, gimmicky tricks and traps like "credits," “events,” “contests,” “competitions,” "leaderboards," and more to make you hopeful that by paying them and continuing to use their platforms, you will gain something more valuable than what you’ve spent or lost. In my previous article, I compared TA and its competitors to casinos. The age-old wisdom about casinos is that the house never loses because, before 15 people become winners, hundreds, thousands, or even more people should lose. However, there is a subtle difference between them. If the casino is a place where you can squander your time and money, platforms like TA are places where you can waste your time, money, and ideas.
One of the main capabilities of any AI is the capability of self-improvement; you just need to provide the necessary data. Any AI training itself should be free, without limits, or with equal limits for everyone. Because AI is a new technology, it is still in its early stages and cannot provide precise and valuable results yet. For training a 'Model,' 'Checkpoint,' or 'LoRA' on any platform, first of all, you need to prepare the necessary data, so it's a real job. Then you can use platforms like TA, which should be free for everyone to train and get the best possible result. If the platform accepts what you have trained, then you should get a one-time payment from that platform, for example, $20. And with each use of your 'Model,' 'Checkpoint,' or 'LoRA' on that same platform, you should be paid again. For example, $2 per use. And in response, that platform will receive our likes. Especially “Thumb Up” likes. I’m sure they know what to do with them.
But for now, we have the opposite, idiotic reality. These platforms ask you to pay and become a 'PRO' or 'VIP' member. This allows you to continue working for them with slight advantages and contribute to making their platforms more popular by posting your creations. And as a platform becomes more popular, the likelihood of generating higher revenue increases. So, I don't want to waste my time delving further into this. I've stopped using platforms like TA, ceasing any creative contributions. Every day, TA gives me 100 credits, and a 24-hour pass takes those 100 credits back. I'm sure they like that process. If they see value in those credits, they can keep them in the same place, just like the 'Thumb Up' likes. I stopped liking anyone's creations, not because they're bad, but because I saw the chance that my likes could produce an unintended impact by serving as a new incentive for people to continue their journey to emptiness and frustration. I'll leave things as they are on my page. If TA fixes the issues in the future and if I see it's worth it, maybe I'll come back.
But since there are a lot of platforms like TA that use the same cheap and silly tricks that were probably honed by stealing candy from kids before the platforms were created, I want to leave something for the people who create such platforms. This is something worth thinking about in your free time.
So, if, just for the experiment, at the end of spring, I plant a single potato in the soil and neglect it for about two or three months, and despite the lack of care, the chances are still very high that the potato I planted will yield some crop. Perhaps not the largest, but I will likely get more than I've invested. Even if that one potato doesn't yield, the loss is just one potato, and it means nothing to me. After all, it was just an experiment, and I didn’t lose my time or money.
TA and all similar platforms: people who use your platforms are also doing experiments without suspecting any silly tricks from you. And instead of guiding or aiding users in learning valuable skills, discovering their talents, and achieving meaningful goals for themselves and others, you're consuming their time, ideas, and money. You're doing this by using the inexperience, lack of awareness, and very natural human weakness of people, just by giving them an empty hope that they can win something. I see the issue here, and I’ll do my best to address it.
So, to the users of this platform and to everyone in general, the reality is that these platforms are also conducting an experiment. If you're having fun, just like I was, by using this platform, it means that they know what they're doing and are doing it well.
But I want you to use your consciousness for a few seconds. In the short term, you’re having fun, which will not last long, but in the long term, at the end, you’ll get nothing. And if the platform doesn't feel ashamed or scared about asking for your time and money for nothing, then why should you feel uncomfortable asking for money from that platform for the time and for the efforts that you’ve done on that platform?
At least you should stop using that platform and let other people know about your experience and opinion about that platform. So, this article became long enough that I suspected. I made my decision, and silly experiments should always fail. This was my conclusion, based on my experience, so you have it. And I hope it was helpful for you to make the right decisions based on your needs for your own success.
And I think I’m done with TA for now. I’ll continue to push forward to have a better world. And I’ll inform you later how to find me if you decide to join me. That’s it for now. Feel free to leave a comment. And thanks for reading this article. H
