# ✨ ComfyUI SDXXXL + FLUXXX Face Fusion Workflow (v2)
This workflow is designed to bring out the best of both SDXL and FLUX models in image generation. It leverages the high fidelity and prompt adherence of SDXL with the expressive, controllable facial quality of FLUX using a face masking and inpainting technique.
---
## 🧠 Why Combine SDXL + FLUX?
- SDXL: Exceptional for full-body consistency, skin texture, lighting, and prompt control.
- FLUX: Specializes in face detail, including expressions, realism, and fine-tuned aesthetics.
By masking and replacing the face from the SDXL render using FLUX, we achieve best-in-class facial output without sacrificing SDXL’s powerful body rendering.

## 📦 Workflow Overview
## 🔧 Key Components
### 1. Prompt Input (SDXL)
- A natural language prompt is passed to SDXL to drive the initial full-body generation.
- ✅ Tip: Use detailed prompts for SDXL to ensure body pose, skin texture, and lighting are accurate.
### 2. SDXL Rendering
- Standard SDXL pipeline rendering the complete image.
- Optional LoRA can be used for better skin tones, poses, or clothing fidelity.
- ✅ Optional: Add LoRA weights or style presets.
- Pick the best generated image to pass along to the FLUX pipeline (Only choose 1 image!)
### 3. Face Detection / Masking
- A mask is created over the SDXL face area.
- Options include:
- Manual mask using bounding boxes
- Automatic face detection nodes
### 4. FLUX Inpainting
- The masked face region is passed into FLUX.
- FLUX regenerates only the face using a different conditioning set (e.g. prompt, seed).
- Supports:
- FLUX LoRA models for fine-tuned identities
- Prompt mixing or re-weighting
### 5. Compositing
- The FLUX-generated face is seamlessly composited back onto the SDXL image.
- Final blending is done to preserve edge transitions.

## 🖼️ Result Panels
- The workflow includes side-by-side comparisons:
- SDXL full render
- SDXL with masked face
- FLUX face output
- Final composited result
---
## ⚙️ Requirements
- ComfyUI (latest build)
- SDXL Base and Refiner models
- FLUX model (optimized for faces)
- Face masking nodes
- (Optional) LoRA models for both SDXL and FLUX
---
## 💡 Tips & Tricks
- Best results are achieved when both models are LoRA-enhanced, though it's not required.
- Ensure face lighting matches between SDXL and FLUX for better compositing.
- FLUX excels at:
- Replacing the face with your LoRA likness
- Changing expressions or aging
- SDXL excels at:
- Complex body poses
- Long prompts with specific styling
---
## 🗨️ Future Enhancements
- Add expression control sliders using latent tuning
