Inpainting is the AI editing technique that regenerates only a masked region of an image while leaving everything else untouched. You paint over the part you want changed — a face, a hand, a background object, a piece of clothing — and the model fills it in to match both the surrounding pixels and your new prompt. On Tensor.Art the INPAINT tag collects models and posts built around this workflow: fixing anatomy errors in an otherwise good generation, swapping outfits, removing unwanted objects, and reworking faces without rerunning the whole image. It is the standard repair step between a rough first draft and a finished piece, and it works with most checkpoints on the site, from anime models to FLUX-based realism. Practical tips: mask slightly beyond the area you want changed so the model has room to blend, keep denoise moderate (0.4–0.7) for coherent fills, and write your prompt for the masked region rather than the whole scene.
