Be careful with scams. I did have one friend who got hacked on steam and the hackers tried to scam me ~2-3 months ago. tried to get me to 'vote' on some cs-go thing on a site that makes you log in with steam to vote. It's a little sad, because I knew it was a scam and called it out, so the scammer removed me as a friend, and I don't really know the guys base account name or account url, so that friend is just gone now and I'm sure they got their account back by now.

I knew that friend for ~10 or so years, I called him 'barbar', I think he normally went by barnsy when I met him, kind of hard to know what he changed his name to if he did because I nickname everyone on steam, was an Australian. We used to play some old niche mmo together. He was a good guy, but you can sort of spot irregularities often when you talk to people that are so unusual that it's just alarm bells. Like how a lot of asians use "…", that's not "..." check the two of them the asian "…" is one character, the english one is three periods.

So when they did that I knew it wasn't the friend.
