trained on the work of German Expressionists, this LoRA will not draw accurately, will not color things to be beautiful and harmonious, and will not simply serve up what you envision. It disrupts expectations, much as the expressionists of their day did to the art world.
While not comporting with a classical understanding of beauty and aesthetics, I find this LoRA (and the expressionist painters to which it is indebted) compelling and fascinating. I tried for a brief spell in college to paint like this, but couldn't really stick with it - I lean toward either higher realism or outright pure abstraction and have trouble straddling this kind of in-between space. But I still love it and it's a great model to have on hand for AI-generated virtual paintings.
Want a more controlled, but still evocative, expressionist output? Use this LoRA in conjunction with ClassipeintXL, varying strengths between them to achieve your particular balance. .85 Expressionism and .6 Classipeint is a lovely look. Or flip those numbers! The two LoRAs cooperate with each other beautifully.
