Hello 🙂 Today, I will explain the "export" and "import" settings when publishing an AI tool,
which has been introduced several times on the site.
To publish an AI tool, roughly speaking,
1) Create a workflow based on the concept of the AI tool you want to make
2) Configure, adjust, and test the workflow
3) Test as an AI tool, and publish
I think you will create and publish in the above order, but
After you are satisfied with part 2), when you turn it into a tool and test it in part 3), you may see a "defect" or "finishing discrepancy" that you could not see in workflow mode.
In this case, you should configure and adjust the "workflow that is the basis of the tool" again, then "update the workflow" on the "edit" mode screen of the AI tool, reflecting the changes in the AI tool settings, and then publish it again. This is the flow.
When you perform this "workflow update", the information displayed on the AI tool operation screen will change.
“User-configurable Settings” will be “reset”! What you have gone through a lot of trouble configuring, sorting, etc., is now starting from scratch.
I can't help but sigh at having to start over 😮 Corresponding to this reset
The method is " Export/Import settings ''.
With this function, even if you need to repeatedly update your workflow, you can easily return to the "User-configurable Settings" settings you used when you first created the tool, so you can avoid unnecessary work.
Here's how to do it:
● Export (save settings before workflow update)
1) Open the "Edit" mode screen of the AI tool and scroll down to find "User-configurable Settings". To the right of it there are three buttons: "Import", "Export", and "Empty". Click "Export".
2) Then, if you are using a PC, a dialog box will appear asking you to confirm the “file save destination”.
Save it in an easy-to-find location so you don't get lost later.
At this time, it is even more convenient to give the file a "file name" that is easy to identify.
(This procedure applies to smartphones, tablets, etc.)
This is the end of "Export".
◆ Import (Load previous settings after updating workflow)
1) Go to "User-configurable Settings"
in the same way as when exporting and click "Import".
2) A dialog box will appear asking you which file to import,
so specify the file you "saved" (exported) earlier and click "OK".
(For smartphones, tablets, etc., follow these guidelines)
This will restore the "settings" that were reset by "update workflow".
You should see that it is.
The above is how to "Export" and "Import" "User - configurable Settings", but there is one thing to keep in mind.
That is, if you "change the node type" or "add a new node or delete a node" when updating the workflow,
"Export" and "Import" will not work. Please note that these are functions to save and restore the "initial settings made into a tool".
I think there are many similar articles on the site, but this time's "Christmas Walkthrough"
I hope this will be helpful for those who are trying to create an AI tool for the first time at the event 🙂
